Managed IT Infrastructure

Your IT infrastructure. Professionally managed.

FajrFiber takes ongoing responsibility for the agreed parts of your IT and network infrastructure. Our engineers look after it day to day, our Network Operations Center watches it, and when something goes wrong, one team owns the problem.

How the service works

Who looks after it
FajrFiber engineers, backed by the Network Operations Center.
What they look after
The parts of your environment agreed in writing.
When
Ongoing, with 24/7/365 NOC monitoring of the managed parts
Where it starts
A conversation, then a review of your environment.
What you keep
Your decisions, and anything outside the agreed scope.

Someone who knows your setup, and owns what goes wrong.

Managed IT Infrastructure at FajrFiber is not

  • Not a helpdesk for staff passwords and everyday software questions.
  • Not handing over control. You set priorities and approve material changes.
  • Not security monitoring or firewall management. Security is scoped separately.
  • Not a promise to run everything. We manage what is agreed in writing.

Most organizations do not need an IT department. They need someone who knows their setup and takes responsibility for keeping it working.

With Managed IT Infrastructure, that someone is a team of FajrFiber engineers with the Network Operations Center behind them. They learn your environment, look after it day to day, and answer for it when something fails.

For organizations that need their technology run reliably without building every capability in-house.

Managed networking and infrastructure, monitoring and operational support, NOC-backed escalation and incident handling, within a written scope.

What you stop having to do

  • Chasing someone when the network stops.

  • Explaining your setup from the beginning every time.

  • Working out who is responsible: the internet provider, the equipment vendor or the person who installed it.

  • Hearing about problems first from your own staff.

What we look after, and what stays with you.

The line between what we look after and what stays with you is drawn for your environment, agreed with you, and written into your agreement.

  • Looked after by FajrFiber, as agreed
  • Only where expressly agreed
  • Stays with your team

With a connection alone, responsibility ends at the handoff. With Managed IT Infrastructure, it continues into the parts of your environment we agree.

Conceptual responsibility boundary. Not a map of your network.

Included in every managed environment

  • Watched by our NOC

    Monitoring and operational support

The network components we manage for you are monitored by our Network Operations Center.

  • Problems owned, not passed around

    NOC-backed escalation and incident handling

When something fails, engineers diagnose it, and one of them owns it.

  • A written record of your network

    Network documentation and inventory

What you have and how it is connected is written down and kept current, so knowledge of your setup never sits with one person.

  • Regular service reviews

    Periodic service review and reporting

We review the environment and the service with you at agreed intervals: what was done, what changed and what needs attention.

Stays with your team

  • Your priorities, and approval of material changes. Routine work agreed in advance goes ahead without waiting.
  • Your business software, data and staff accounts, unless something is expressly agreed.
  • Anything outside the agreed scope stays with your team, and the agreement says where the line is.

Agreed for your environment

Choose any item to see what it means in practice.

  • Agreed for your environment

The equipment that connects wired desks, printers and wireless access points is configured, monitored and kept in order.

    In technical terms: Office switching

  • Agreed for your environment

Traffic between parts of your network, and out to your internet connection, is routed the way your network was designed.

    In technical terms: LAN routing

  • Agreed for your environment

Staff devices, guest Wi-Fi and equipment such as printers or cameras can each have their own part of the network.

In technical terms: VLANs and segmentation

  • Agreed for your environment

Access points and wireless settings are looked after as part of your network, alongside everything else we manage.

In technical terms: Managed wireless LAN

  • Agreed for your environment

The network settings that let computers, phones and printers connect are set up and kept consistent.

In technical terms: Endpoint network configuration

  • Agreed for your environment

Changes are planned and recorded. Routine work agreed in advance goes ahead; anything material waits for your approval.

In technical terms: Configuration and change management

  • Agreed for your environment

When a problem involves your internet provider or an equipment vendor, we coordinate with them on your behalf.

In technical terms: ISP and vendor coordination

  • Agreed for your environment

Where on-site visits are part of your agreement and your location allows it, an engineer comes in person.

In technical terms: On-site engineering visits

  • Agreed for your environment

We can supply or replace network equipment for your environment. Equipment is agreed commercially, separately from the service where relevant.

In technical terms: Hardware supply and replacement

  • Only where expressly agreed

Where it is expressly agreed, we also look after the servers and on-premises systems you run.

In technical terms: Server and on-premises systems administration

Scope, responsibilities and commitments are agreed and written down before we take anything over.

Your internet connection does not have to come from FajrFiber. Where it is operationally supportable, we manage your environment alongside another provider's connection.

With a Dedicated Internet service, our responsibility ends at the handoff. Managed IT Infrastructure carries it into your site, for the parts we agree.

The problem has an owner.

When something breaks, you should not have to find someone and explain your setup from scratch.

FajrFiber's Network Operations Center is staffed by engineers 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

That is how the NOC works every day. Response and restoration targets, where they apply, are defined in your agreement.

  1. 01

    Noticed

The network components we manage for you are monitored around the clock, and automated alarms reach our engineers when something fails.

  2. 02

    Contacted

When monitoring detects an incident inside the managed scope, engineers investigate straight away and contact you within minutes, before you have to report it.

  3. 03

    Diagnosed and escalated

Escalation connects the problem to engineering support, with your environment and service scope in view.

  4. 04

    Owned

    An engineer owns the problem.

Existing managed customers

Managed customers with an urgent issue can reach the NOC by email or phone.

The difference between help and ownership.

Project and call-out help fixes a problem and leaves. Managed IT Infrastructure keeps knowing your environment, watches it and owns what goes wrong afterwards.

Who notices a problem

Usually your staff, when work stops.

The network components we manage for you are monitored around the clock, and automated alarms reach our engineers when something fails.

Knowledge of your setup

Starts again with each job.

Kept and maintained as part of the service.

After the work is done

The engagement ends.

Responsibility continues, day to day.

When something fails

You find someone and explain the problem from the start.

Escalation connects the problem to engineering support, with your environment and service scope in view.

How it is agreed

Per job or per invoice.

A written scope, with commitments in your agreement.

Is this right for you?

Usually a good fit

  • No in-house network team, or a small IT team stretched between people and infrastructure.
  • Several offices that need to work as one network.
  • Network problems that keep coming back, or a setup nobody fully understands any more.
  • A move, expansion or new office coming up.

Probably not yet

  • A single, contained job: project work may be enough.
  • An environment nobody has looked at yet: start with an assessment.
  • A need that is mainly cloud or hosted systems: FajrCloud, within one ecosystem.

Project work still has its place. A one-time installation or a contained fix may not need a managed service. If you are not sure which you need, an assessment will show it.

Managed IT Infrastructure is a service for businesses and institutions.

How it starts.

Taking on a managed environment starts with understanding it. Nothing is changed before the scope is agreed.

An initial review of your environment usually comes before onboarding. Where the environment is unclear, a fuller infrastructure assessment comes first.

  1. 01

    Conversation

Tell us how your organization works and what keeps going wrong. The conversation goes to an engineer.

  2. 02

    Assessment

We review your environment with you. Where it is unclear or undocumented, a fuller assessment comes first.

  3. 03

    Scope

What we look after, what stays with you and how changes are approved are agreed and written down.

  4. 04

    Delivery

We document the environment and bring the agreed parts under management.

  5. 05

    Operation

Monitoring, incident handling, agreed changes and regular service reviews continue day to day.

  6. 06

    Growth

As the organization changes, the scope can grow with it: new sites, new systems, more of the environment.

Held to what is agreed.

Accountability comes from a written agreement, not from adjectives.

What we commit to for your environment is written into your agreement.

What your agreement defines

Scope

Which parts of your environment are managed, and which stay with you.

Support and incidents

How issues are raised, who is contacted and how incidents are handled and escalated.

Changes

Which work goes ahead as routine, and which changes need your approval.

Service reviews

How often the environment and the service are reviewed with you.

Service levels

Any service levels and targets that apply to your environment.

No offer or objective on this page is binding; your agreement is.
