What you are buying.

What “dedicated” does not mean

  • It does not mean every cable and router carries only your traffic.
  • It does not reach past the provider: how distant servers and other networks behave sits outside any single provider’s service domain.

Dedicated Internet is a business internet connection with capacity committed to your site in your agreement, rather than shared among many users at busy times.

Your agreement specifies one committed rate: capacity reserved for your connection, 1:1 and full duplex.

A committed information rate (CIR) is the capacity reserved for a connection. It describes what the connection is committed to carry, not a peak speed.

In Bangladesh, buyers often call it corporate internet or enterprise internet. It is one service, described on this page.

One committed rate. No split between local and international traffic.

FajrFiber provisions that rate consistently within the FajrFiber service domain. How distant servers and other networks perform sits outside that domain.

Capacity and contention

Capacity is shared among many users; speeds are usually described as a maximum rather than a commitment. Throughput can fall when many users are active at once.

One committed rate, 1:1, reserved for your connection. Reserved without contention across FajrFiber's service and access network.

Upload and traffic model

Upload is often a fraction of download. Connections are often divided into separate local and international allowances.

Upload and download capacity are the same. One rate for all traffic, with no local and international split.

Service levels and accountability

Service levels are often general or undefined. Support usually begins when the customer reports a problem.

Service scope and SLA commitments agreed for the requirement. Automated NOC alarms; engineers contact affected customers within minutes.

Addressing and routing

Public addressing and routing options are usually limited.

Static public IPv4 included; customer BGP where the design requires it.

Where it is available

Availability is usually checked against a published service area.

Availability is confirmed by engineering feasibility, not by a marketing coverage map.

If a site can tolerate slowdowns and has no need for defined commitments, shared broadband may be enough.

Where responsibility sits.

FajrFiber is responsible for the service up to the FajrFiber-provided edge hardware (ONU/ONT or SFP) that connects to your router.

FajrFiber

We manage, monitor and maintain everything up to that point, including the edge hardware.

You

Beyond it, your internal network is yours: routing, VLANs, switching and Wi-Fi, unless you add FajrFiber Managed IT Infrastructure.

Handoff

Handoff is an ONU/ONT or SFP module, agreed for your site.

When something fails.

Access to your site

A single route into a building is a single point of failure.

FajrFiber Dedicated Internet is engineered with dual fiber paths as standard. Where the site and network topology support it, those paths terminate toward separate FajrFiber PoPs to reduce common-path dependency.

Your site

Your own equipment, power and internal network are part of the chain.

Resilience requirements are reviewed for the location.

Who operates it.

A human-operated Network Operations Center monitors your service 24/7/365, and technical support is staffed around the clock.

Your team sees live service status and performance in the FajrFiber client portal.

That is how the NOC works every day. Response and restoration targets, where they apply, are defined in your agreement.

  1. 01

    Alarm

Disruptions raise automated alarms in our NOC.

  2. 02

    Investigation and contact

Engineers investigate straight away and contact affected customers within minutes, before you have to report it.

  3. 03

    Escalation

Escalation connects the problem to engineering support, with the environment and service scope in view.

  4. 04

    Ownership

    An engineer owns the problem.

How commitments work.

Service scope and SLA commitments agreed for the requirement.

The standard objectives below apply to eligible Dedicated Internet services. The binding values for your service are the ones in your agreement.

Availability

What your agreement defines

99.99% or higher

Standard availability objective for eligible Dedicated Internet services: 99.99% or higher, subject to the applicable SLA definition, exclusions and service design.

How it is measured

Measured as the applicable SLA defines it: the measurement period, what counts as unavailable time, and what is excluded.

Local latency

What your agreement defines

Below 10 ms

Standard local latency objective for eligible Dedicated Internet services: below 10 ms, measured as defined in the applicable SLA.

How it is measured

Round-trip time to defined local destinations, measured as the applicable SLA sets out.

Support and incidents

What your agreement defines

Support channels, severity levels and any response targets are defined in your agreement.

How it works day to day

Monitoring, incident visibility, diagnosis and escalation, run by FajrFiber's Network Operations Center.

Planned maintenance

What your agreement defines

How planned maintenance is scheduled, and how it is treated, is defined in your agreement.

How published figures treat it

When FajrFiber publishes an observed availability figure, the figure states how planned maintenance was treated.

Where your agreement includes service remedies, it defines when they apply.

Addressing, routing and the network behind it.

Static public IPv4

One static public IPv4 address is included. Additional addresses, up to a /24 where justified and available, are assigned to your requirement.

Customer BGP

Where your design requires it, we run BGP with you, and you can announce your own IP space and ASN over our network.

The network behind it

Reliability is an architecture decision.

  • Cisco and Juniper routing and switching platforms.
  • Dedicated DNS infrastructure.
  • Optical access, assessed per location.

Requirements & network availability

Check a site for Dedicated Internet.

Tell us what the site needs and where it is. An engineer reviews the requirement and network availability for your location. This is an enquiry, not an instant coverage result.

The capacity the site needs, and what depends on it.

  2. 02

    Site review

Engineering reviews the location and how it can be reached.

  3. 03

    Delivery path

The delivery path is confirmed per site.

  4. 04
